From the archives: Swat Emeralds.
“Sharing another very interesting batch of emeralds from Swat, Pakistan I had the pleasure to examine a few months back. As always, some unique and interesting inclusions and observations.
A lot of these stones had what appeared to be iron staining, possibly some old discolored oil and dirt with the iron staining.
Some beautiful and clear internal hexagonal growth along with distinct color zoning. One beautiful little specimen and a few crystals with unique external growth patterns.”
